Dhatri Bandaru is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner for Dhatri Legal. She leads the firm’s Energy, Construction, Criminal, & Corporate Practice and serves as a trusted advisor to General Counsels, board of directors and executives of our clients seeking solutions to their global issues.

Criminal Justice & Human Rights

Dhatri’s work has focused and aspire to focus in the coming years on securing rights for India’s most vulnerable people, such as bonded labourers, ethnic and religious minorities, refugees, slum dwellers, women and the poor and truly believes that the most impactful way to gain knowledge about human rights work is by actively participating in the efforts and movements driven by ordinary individuals.

Her engagements additionally extend to criminal litigations and has expertise in defending clients across a broad spectrum of criminal cases in India. Specializing in offenses such as fraud, corruption, financial crimes, assault, and white-collar crimes, she provides strong legal representation in trial and appellate courts.

With in-depth knowledge of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), and related laws, she offers strategic counsel on bail applications, anticipatory bail, and petitions to quash criminal proceedings.
